This is to all deviants who make comments on my works, faves my deviations, adds me to their watchlist, drops by on my page and most importantly, those who view my artworks..... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!



Recently, I am siding on my friend on a fight against pageview addicts. although he no longer cares for pageviews totally, I do have a different perspective of the matter.

Having pageviews is not that bad. It is one of the pride you can have here in DeviantArt. It is just a simple counter in your userpage that shows as to how many people have viewed your page in general. But what gives you pride is that you can't manipulate the numbers in that counter. It depends on how many people are visiting your page. So if you gain 1000+ pageviews in one week, you should be so damn proud.

As for me, having pageviews is fine. As long as you are gaining them, not craving for them. I'm happy to say that I've gained 3000 hits naturally. No gizmos and no updating of journals with no updates. True, I go to other people's page and leave a comment. But it is my way of showcasing my artworks and not myself. The bottomline is, pageviews is not my priority. For me, the comments, faves, watch, gaining friends, and the deviation views are the ones which matters most. For I am here in DeviantArt to showcase my artworks, not myself. I seek justice, justice that people will get to see my deviations for I work so hard on each and every artwork that I make. I may sound arrogant but the fact it, I really am proud of my artworks. My friends know how meticulous I am and how long it will take me to draw.

Craving for pageviews is a different story. It is when you defeat the purpose of the pageview thingy perse. It is when you go and visit other people to ask them implicitly to visit your page in order to gain pageviews. and the most ironic part, it is when you care more of the number of pageviews you have than your artworks. By doing so, you are no longer showcasing your works but yourself. It is as if you are only here in DeviantArt trying hard to be popular and chasing on others number of pageviews just to prove that you're better. And that is what I am against...

Some of you might be thinking that I'm giving less priority on my pageviews and yet I'm posting that I've already reached 3000 views. Just to make things clear, I am only thanking everyone who visited my gallery. I can remember a person saying in business that 'as an employer, you take care of your employees and your employees will take care of you'. I'm doing the same here in DA. So it will be rude of me not to thank them. Besides, It's not the number of pageviews I'm fighting against, it's the 'other' method of gaining pageviews.

- HAVING PAGEVIEWS IS FINE, AS LONG AS YOU ARE GAINING THEM, NOT CRAVING FOR THEM.

- IT'S NOT THE NUMBER OF PAGEVIEWS I'M FIGHTING AGAINST, IT'S THE 'OTHER' METHOD OF GAINING PAGEVIEWS.

- FOR ME, THE COMMENTS, FAVES, WATCH, GAINING FRIENDS AND THE DEVIATION VIEWS ARE THE ONES WHICH MATTERS MOST.

- I AM HERE IN DEVIANTART TO SHOWCASE MY ARTWORKS, NOT MYSELF.

- I SEEK JUSTICE, JUSTICE THAT PEOPLE WILL GET TO SEE MY DEVIATIONS FOR I WORK SO HARD ON EACH AND EVERY ARTWORK THAT I MAKE.
